Beauty In Nature
I believe beauty in nature is knowing that no makeup or editing was done to the seen you're looking. When being in a natural enviorment, you are amazed by how everything was naturally made. The seen is able to make you feel blissful and content, and can take your breath away.
I believe the photo at the top is artistic compared to the bottom one because of the facial expression and the background. It reveals a story about them or shows how they feel. The black and white also makes the photo much more powerful and emotional compared to the commerical magazine at the bottom. This photo at the bottom is very commercial because of the logos on the cover and and how eye catching the colors are. The attraction it has to readers is very different then the artistic photo because of what it is trying to sell, instead of of revealing something about the subject.

Portraits
This photo is of my friend Jade. I edited this photo by taking up the exposure and saturation to make the colors stand out. I made sure to get Jade's full face in the frame, making sure I didn't cut off her forehead and chin. I also took up the sharpness to make the details in her face stand out.
The girls in this photo are of my friends Olivia and Jade. I first edited this photo by playing with the colors, going with a slight yellow tint. I then took up the exposure and sharpness. I took this photo at many different angles, yet this one was my favorite because you can see their full bodies and the angle with the yellow tint ties the photo together.
I took this photo of my friend Katie at the competitive cheer gym we cheer at, Style Shock. At first I was struggling to take this photo because I didn't know what angle to take it at, and I didn't exactly know to pose Katie either. I asked Katie to do the splits and took it in a horizontal format to get the gym in the background. I edited this photo by making it black and white and taking up the blacks and fill light. I also added a vignette to make Katie the main focus as well.

Daguerreotype
I took this photo while I was downtown on a sunny day. I edited this photo by adding a vignette to the boarder and giving the photo a tint. I also found different textures to lay over the photo to give it more of an antiquey look and finished it off by giving it a frame.
Tilt Shift
Tilt Shift
I took this photo on a class field trip while we were Downtown. I edited this photo by cropping the sky and making the background and foreground blurry, making the photo look like a miniature model. I also enhanced the colors as well.

Light and Shadow Assignment
Silhouette
This photo is of my friend Jade. I took this photo by metering my camera on the sun then having Jade step in the frame. I also played with the highlights and shadows to get the soft pink color in the background.
Backlight
The girls in this photo are of my friends Eve and Jade. I took this photo by having them stand in front of the sun and metering my camera on them. I like the bottom photo because of the sun bursting between their heads, and in the first photo, I like Jades expression because it is strange yet gorgeous.
Reflection
This photo is of my friend Jade. I took this photo by metering my camera on the sun then having Jade step in the frame. I also played with the highlights and shadows to get the soft pink color in the background.

Reflection
This girl in this photo is once again, Jade. I edited this photo by taking up the exposure. I love this photo because it definitely showcases her fun personality and I like how clear her reflection is in the water. This photo also shows off her awesome haircut!
Chiaroscuro
I took this photo in my photography class while the lights were off and used the flash on my camera. I edited this photo by making the photo black and white then playing with the color boost on my computer. I like this photo because it really makes Griffin and Walker stand out in the photo.
Chiaroscuro: The mix of shadows and highlights, contrasting light and dark to take a striking photo.
Shadow
This photo was taken outside on my back patio. I like this photo because of the designs the shadows make. I edited this photo by taking up the exposure and adding an antique effect to finish it off.

Panorama
The photos in this panorama were taken in the back of Lincoln High School. I like this photo because of the different colors that stand out, and the yellow tone that I had edited on there. It looks like the sun would be setting at this time, giving it a relaxing mood.

Multiple Exposure
Both of these Multiple Exposure photos were taken at Lincoln High School. The first photo is of my friend Griffin. I like this picture because it shows a side of Griffin's personality and the different movements he was doing. The second photo is of my friend Divin. I like this photo because of the different experessions he is showing, and having the faces blend together make the photo somewhat strange.
Motion
This slow motion picture of Gabby was taken at Washington Park. I asked Gabby to move her head from side to side while I took the photo on my tripod. I edited this by making the photo black and white then played with the split toning. I used the grain tool to give the photo texture and finished off by giving it a vignette
This freeze action photo was taken in Dallas, Texas while I was there for a competition. I edited this photo by taking the exposure up and playing with the split toning.
This panning photo of Walker was taken while I was trying to adjust my camera. I edited this by taking up the fill light slightly.
I took this photo in the classroom. I edited this by taking up the exposure and used the grain tool to give it some texture. I like this photo because of how mysterious yet elegant it looks.
I took this photo at my school while I was standing in the hall. I first edited this all camera shake photo by making it black and white, then taking up the exposure. I then added a vignette to finish it off.

Triptych and Diptych
The photos in my triptych were taken downtown at Keller Fountain. I took a series of photos and picked the ones that had the best affect of the water splashing. I edited the the photos by turning up the blacks and exposure.
I took the photos in my diptych downtown at the Pearl District. I like this diptych because it shows the different angles of the sculpture. I edited this photo by taking up the exposure and enhancing the colors.
Shape Assignment
This photo was taken downtown. It is asymmetrical because the sphere is not lined up in the center. This photo also includes geometric shapes, including squares in the background and a sphere.
This photo was taken downtown at Jamison Square. I like this photo because of all the detail shown on the walkway. This photo is symmetrical because it is evenly balanced.
